Nora Springs-David O. Nauman 68, of Nora Springs died December 17, 2004 at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa, Mason City.
At the families request a private family funeral service was held 11 A.M. Monday( December 20, 2004) at the Eden Presbyterian Church, Rudd, with Rev. John Bates officiating. Burial was held at the Eden Presbyterian Cemetery, Rudd. Memorials may be directed to the Eden Presbyterian Church, Rudd. Visitation was held 5-8 P.M. Sunday (December 19, 2004) at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd Street N.E., Mason City.
David O. Nauman was born April 27, 1936 in Floyd county, the son of Emmett Sr. and Hannah (Jannsen) Nauman.
David attended school in Floyd. He began farming in the Floyd area. He was united in marriage to Janet (Mausehund) Nauman, on December 12, 1958 in the Rock Creek Lutheran Church, rural Osage. David farmed until retirement.
He loved farming, playing cards especially 500, watching western movies, traveling, riding roller coasters at amusement parks; his greatest love was spending time with his family and his granddaughter. He was in a card club in the Floyd and Charles City area for 45 years.
He is survived by his wife Janet, of Nora Springs, children Marilyn Nauman, of Mason City, Virginia and her husband William English, of Mason City, Bruce and his wife Pamela Nauman, of Mason City, Cindy and her husband John Angelicola, of Chesapeake, VA, Sandra Nauman, of Mason City, and Curtis Nauman, of Nora Springs, granddaughter Kayla English, of Mason City, mother in law Mary Mausehund, of Nora Springs.
He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in- law Herbert Mausehund.
